CONNECTICUT CHAÎNE – Wines from Santa Cruz Mountains. 

Please join us for a virtual wine tasting on Sunday, December 13, 2020 at  6pm.

 

Jeff Hellman will be our tastemaster and has suggested any or all of the following wines:

 

Ridge Estate Cabernet

Ridge Monte Bello (for those with large budgets)

Ridge Monte Bello Chardonnay

Mount Eden Cabernet (reasonable)

Mount Eden Chardonnay (reasonable)

Mount Eden Pinot Noir (reasonable)

Thomas Fogarty Pinot Noir (reasonable)

 

Some recipes for you to consider.

Chardonnay – lobster tails in a butter sauce, crab louie, ricotta gnocchi with mushrooms and corn, grilled shrimp, crab cakes.

Pinot Noir – Grilled salmon with leeks, chicken wrapped in phyllo pastry, roasted duck with pink peppercorns

Cabernet –lamb chops with roasted grapes and rosemary, lamb casserole, beef chuck roast with paprika herb rub, steak, venison, venison or lamb sausages, roasted duck with puree of dates.
